I think that the baby is trying to make contact with me!!! I was sitting here at work on Tuesday and I thought I felt a couple taps from the baby. Now I don't know if the baby already knows morse code but I think that it tapped out "Hello"!! As a pregnant woman you do tend to become gassier as time goes by but this didn't feel like the normal gas bubbles that I have come accustom too. I haven't felt anything since then but I am trying to see if the baby will try to make contact again soon!
Oh-and I found this CRAZY ticker that counts down the days until our Baby Mac enters our world. i just think that it is funny that the baby is just floating around. Enjoy!!

Week 16-First Belly Picture

So I had Tom take the first belly picture of me last night. I hope you all enjoy. My little bump is getting firmer and it is just below my belly button. I am wearing maternity jeans and my pre prego jeans but they are unbuttoned and held together with a hair tie! Ha ha!! The maternity jeans are SO comfy.
This week the baby is the size of an avocado. The baby is forming bones in it ears so it can start to hear what is going on around it. Tom and I are excited to start putting headphones on my belly and introducing the baby to Nine Inch Nails...ha ha ha!! Eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair are starting to fill in. The baby's taste buds are forming now too. The baby has gone thru a major growth spurt in the last few weeks. It double it size and is 4.5 inches long. It is also moving it's eyes but the eyelids are open yet.
I am feeling great and have started back to the gym this last week. I am doing cardio and some light weight lifting. I figure that I can't control that my midsection is growing but I can keep everything else looking good! I went to the doctor last week and I am up one pound and the baby has a strong heartbeat. They said everything looks good and I am so excited to see how the next appointment goes. I have set up an appointment with a new doctor, since we will be back in Cali for the rest of the pregnancy, and I hope it goes well. I won't see the doctor until I am 19 weeks and then hopefully we can schedule an unltrasound to find out what we are having!!! I can't wait!!

Hungry much!?!?
I don't know what is going on with me but I am STARVING by 9:00am. I started going back to the gym this week so that might be the case but my workouts aren't strenous but HECK FIRE...I am so hungry. Already today I have had an apple, a Kashi bar, and a whole box of Macarroni and Cheese. I don't know what is up...Oh well. I am not hungry in the evening so I guess I get all my calories before noon! Ha ha ha!

Lent-Just do it!!
So I am not catholic but I decided this year that I will jump on the ban wagon and give up something this year. I figure that since I am going thru these 40 weeks of pregnancy I can learn to sacrifice more for the next 40 days. So I have decided to give up 2 things....Alcohol and sushi. I know, I know, what a huge sacrifce but I figure that it will help me grow and to become a more self sacrificing mother for my child.
Ha ha ha!!

Week 15-Naval Orange
Hello All,
So I thought that I would do weekly updates about what is going on with me and my little Naval Orange. That is the size of the baby this week. I can't believe that I am almost in my 4th month of pregnancy. I feel SO much better than I did in my first trimester. The "morning sickness", which should actually be called "All day sickness", has gone away and I am actually able to eat without feeling nauseous! YEA FOR ME!! I am STILL going to sleep before the street lights turn on. I think that 5 year olds are able to stay up later than I am. I fall asleep by about 7:30ish. I was able to stay up one night last week until 10:30pm!!! I haven't seen that late since I have been pregnant. I haven't gained any weight yet but my jeans have started to get too tight in my midsection. It is like all my fat is moving just to my belly!! I started wearing maternity jeans last week just because they are SO comfortable. I love elastic waist pants. I started going back to the gym and have been doing light workouts. I really enjoy my gym time and am excited that I feel well enough to go.
And now onto what my amazing little orange is doing this week. Baby Mac is about 4 inches long and is quite the gymnast in my womb. They say that this is the time when you can "maybe" feel the baby move around but most women don't feel movement until week 17. They say that it feels like bubbles or it could feel like a little poke so I am really trying to pay attention to any new sensations in my belly...or they say that it could just be gas so who knows! The baby's little elbows and knees are bending more freely this week and it's little legs are finally growing longer than it's arms and getting pumped up for prenatal Richard Simmons. Many of their major organ systems are increasing in capacity—particularly that amazing tiny heart and complex circulation system, which is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood per day, and will increase to a very impressive 200 quarts per day by the end of the pregnancy. As far as hair goes, we’ve got some new scalp patterns beginning to develop on the head, although actual head hair is not yet present.
I am going to start measuring my belly each week and taking pictures of it as well. Right now there isn't much to show but I think that it will be amazing to see the changes in the next 25 weeks. But maybe towards the end I won't measure because it might send me into a deep depression once my waist gets to over 40 inches! Ha ha ha!!
We have 2 couple friends that live down in the Springs that we have known since High School and both their wives are pregnant too. It has been nice to have 2 other people to compair symptoms with and getting to hang out with. Betsy and Travis are having a boy (they have the cutest little girl who is 2) and Donny and Rochelle are finding out next week what they are having. Betsy's mom says she feels that we are all having boys so it will be fun to see what happens at Donny and Rochelle's ultrasound next week!!
