Have you ever felt like you just don't know where you fit in when it comes to fashion!?!? I do...everyday. I have recently been looking at fashion blogs and see the cutest outfits that people come up with and wish I could do the same. I try to be adventurous with my ensembles but sometimes feels like I am trying too hard or that maybe I am too old for the style. My friend and I were talking about it last night. Do you feel that you are too old to dress "trendy"? I do feel that way but try to work with the trend and make it age appropriate. I mean...I am only 30 so I should still be able to pull some things off right!!?
Stay tuned for some outfit pics....Should be interesting!

Sacrifice
Today is a day filled with mixed emotions. Today is the day when Jesus was sacrificed for our sins. I always found the name "Good Friday" a bit contradictory. Yes, it is good that God sent his son to be sacrificed for our sins...but it is also a sad day as well. Jesus was beaten, spit on, forced to carry his own cross, and ultimately died on that same cross for ALL of our sins. He could have come down off that cross and said...You know what, you all aren't worth my sacrifice. But he didn't. He stayed there and died a slow, brutal death. It seems like anything but a "Good Friday" for Jesus.
But "Good Friday" is good for us all. Jesus is offering us everlasting life if we just believe. John 14:6 and 7 promise that...."I am the way and the truth and the life"....and I love that verse. Jesus wants us to love him. He wants us to communicate to him thru prayer. He wants us to obey what he commands. He just wants us...sin and all. He died and took all that burden of our sins away. We just have to turn and give it all to him.
We had a tradition in our family where we would bury Jesus in a make shift tomb in our backyard on Good Friday. We would place him in the tomb, roll the stone in front of it, and put up a couple of army men to guard him. On Easter Sunday, we would wake up and go out to the tomb to see that Jesus was no longer in it! He had risen!! It was something that I always loved as a child and I am going to start that tradition with Abbie this year as well. I want to help grow her love for Jesus just like my parents did for me.
So today, when you are going thru your normal routine...just remember that this is the day that the ULTIMATE sacrifice was made. Jesus LOVES us so much that he died for our sins, past...present...and future.
"For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting." John 3:16

Play time at the Park
We went to the park yesterday and Abbie had a blast. Tom has been taking her during the day to run out all that energy and to get her playing with other kids. It was a wonderful time to see her explore her world. The one thing that I wish I brought was a few dollars for the man selling the corn...it looked DELICIOUS!!!

Rainy Day=Indoor/Messy Fun
It has been challenging with the rain to keep Abbie entertained during the day. All she wants to do is get outside and run around. I needed to get some hand prints from her for my Valentines Day projects, so I figured that we could have some fun that would keep her occupied for a while. I don't know if she will be the next Picasso but she sure knows how to wear that paint!
Thank goodness that it is washable!
P.S. She put the red paint on her nose...I had nothing to do with it...honest!

Be afraid....be VERY afraid!
I am going to attempt to craft!
I did okay so far on some Valentine's Day decor for our house but I wanted to make a wreath as well. I am going to try to make something off this website called Tatertots and Jello.

Should be interesting...I'll let you know how it goes! Pictures to follow.
